THE LIVELY FOUNDATION
 
 
The Lively Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation devoted to the production of artistic and educational programs in dance, music, and related arts.
     Founded in 1983 by supporters of dancer-choreographer Leslie Friedman, The Lively Foundation’s performance series have consistently won acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
   The Lively Foundation has presented premieres of works by significant contemporary composers including Charles Wuorinen, Jon Deak, Malcolm Hawkins, Jonathan Harvey, and John Felder.
   Eagerly sought for her “brilliant” presence as a performer, Leslie Friedman has also established an international reputation as an articulate and vibrant spokesperson for dance, music and world culture.
