What an amazing banquet! What terrific company! and what generous gifts from merchants who offered great gifts for our Lively auction. Special thanks go to KIEHL’S at Stanford Shopping Center--the best place for body lotions and beautifying treatments--and The MILK PAIL--legendary market in Mountain View for fresh produce, cheese, breads and other delicious foods.
KIEHL’S donated gift bags of samples for everyone at the party as well as a gift box of fine lotions. THE MILK PAIL donated 3 lbs of truly beautiful Jarlsberg cheese, and 10 lbs. of Guittard bittersweet chocolate. What can we say about that? We kept it in its box to discourage nibblers.
Thanks also to Melanie Dias and Myu Campbell who also donated exciting items. Artistic Director Leslie Friedman managed to find bottles of wine from Rabbit Ridge, very appropriate and auspicious.
Special thanks to Yu-Pei Vicky Kwoh Ching, proprietor of Ming’s Restaurant. Several of our Lively friends commented that this was the single best meal of Chinese food they had ever eaten. The ones who did not comment were simply too busy eating to talk. Pictured below: Dr. Kate Lorig won the Kiehl’s gift box and Mr. Godfrey Watson, flight instructor, won the cheese.
