The Lively Foundation

It’s opening day all around the big leagues. That means that George Krevsky Gallery once again is celebrating the national pasttime with the annual exhibition of art works about baseball. The opening reception for this always wonderful exhibition is Saturday, April 2, 3-6 p.m. If anyone ever wondered if art lovers also love baseball, the happy crowd that comes to the opening day event will put those doubts to rest.
Located in San Francisco's Union Square District, George Krevsky Gallery specializes in 20th-century American Art in the figurative tradition, including the Ashcan, Regionalist, Modernist, Social Realism, as well as Northern California contemporary artists.
This is a not to be missed exhibition combining the high spirits of the sport with the fine eyes of the artists. George Krevsky, the knowledgeable and welcoming host, and his staff have assembled a unique and wonderful tribute to the Art of the Game.
The exhibition runs from April 2-May 28, 2011.
George Krevsky Gallery is located at 77 Geary Street, 2nd Floor. Tel: 415/367-9748. Visit the website for more pictures from the exhibition and the Krevsky collections:
