Larry Lynch is The Man in Irish Set Dances. Participants in Lively’s International Dance Festival--Silicon Valley will have a chance to dance with the master on August 25, 3 -4:30 p.m.
Larry was an international champion of Irish step dancing in his youth. His interest in Set dancing led him to write a book widely considered the Bible of Irish set dancing. He traveled throughout Ireland, interviewing the older generation about the dances and their lives. In his book and through his workshops, he maintains the culture encapsulated in the dances.
It’s fun, the music is great, you will love this workshop whether you have seen them before or not, whether you’ve done Irish dancing before or not.
