BAT TALES!

BAT TALES!  celebrates the mysterious beauty and bittersweet comedy concerning the bat. Long misunderstood by those who take Bela Lugosi too seriously, the bat pollinates the rain forests, devours crop eating bugs, and has no interest in biting humans. BAT TALES! is very pro-bat.
In Fall, 2006, BAT TALES! was presented in Union City, Mountain View, and San Francisco, CA. The St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis, MO, presented Artistic Director, Leslie Friedman in two appearances performing selections from the storytelling parts of BAT TALES!
BAT TALES! tours to concert halls, museums and other audiences interested in the best in music, dance, and mosquito eating satire. It is appropriate for all ages and can be presented in full, 90 minute length or shortened for schools or other schedules.
Previous presenters of BAT TALES! have included the California Academy of Sciences, the Muir Woods National Monument, and the school districts in San Francisco, San Jose, and Mountain View, CA. Click here to view photos.

Leslie Friedman dances in “Silenced Wings,” set to music by Tina Turner. BATTALES! has songs & dances both funny and sad based on legends about bats and about the plight of the now endangered creatures.
