SUNDAY, JANUARY 3rd, 2:30 p.m. at Max’s Opera Cafe, 601 Van Ness
It’s the Lively RECOVERY PARTY!
That’s right, while you are beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, The Lively Foundation is looking out for you and your well-being. Join us at Max’s Opera Cafe for good food and charming company (like you!). You will be able to relax. You will not have to check any lists. You will have a great time.
Activities (all optional, none required): (1) bring your least favorite gift for an anonymous re-gifting exchange and (2) bid on special treats in our lively auction. OR, just chill out and experience the RECOVERY.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20, Noon, Ming’s Restaurant, 1700 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto (take the Embarcadero EAST exit, Ming’s is just to your right as you come off the ramp. It has its own parking lot.)
Welcome the Year of the Tiger!!!! It’s our traditional Lunar New Year lunch/banquet. This party is always amazing fun and the fabulous food is chosen for us by the beautiful Ms. Vicky Kwoh Ching, owner of Ming’s.
THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 6;30 P.M., PALACE OF THE LEGION OF HONOR MUSEUM, San Francisco.
The Lively Foundation is so proud to announce that our Technical Director and the co-editor of The Hedgehog, Jonathan Clark, will give a lecture at the Museum. There will be a wine reception. Admission is FREE.
An exhibition of painted books by great American poet, Kenneth Patchen opened at the Museum, Nov. 21. All of the objects came from Jonathan’s collection. At age 11, Jonathan became a close friend of Kenneth and Miriam Patchen. He was also the executor of both of their estates. This will be an exciting and informative talk, illustrated with projections of Patchen’s beautiful paintings and poems.
Admission to the MUSEUM event plus reception is FREE.

For the MING’S BANQUET: $36 ($10 of which is a tax-deductible
donation for educational programs)
